Nature Journaling with the School of Conservation @ Stokes State Forest In-Person

Journaling advances the foundation of learning through outdoor inquiry, investigation and scientific thinking, whether it is of trees in the forest, birds on a pond, spring flowers and weeds sprouting in a community garden! Journaling also builds skills of observation, curiosity and creativity with pictures, words and numbers using a sketchbook and pencil.

No special scientific, artistic or literary abilities are required to enjoy nature  journaling. But perhaps you'd like help knowing where to start. If so don't miss this opportunity to join Lois Lyons of the New Jersey School of Conservation (NJSOC) in beautiful Stokes State Forest for instruction and inspiration.

This program is limited to 12 adults to provide ample time for questions and individual instruction. Please prepare appropriately to be outdoors: sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle, good walking shoes, rain gear if necessary (this event is rain or shine!). Class will meet at the NJSOC, 1 Wapalanne Road, Sandyston NJ.
